Cupid can wait, but cricket can’t. The second man of Aussie cricket, Michael Clarke has no time to tie the knot until next year - cricket news on the postponement of the high profile marriage.
The handsome vice captain of team Australia has his hands full with international cricket commitments. He is so hard pressed for time that he can’t find time for getting married. Clarke together with his supermodel girlfriend, Lara Bingle, have been making pretty picture for quite some time. Wedding is rather over-due for this couple engaged for two long years. But with the groom away on his hectic cricket tours, the bride has nothing to do but wait for another Australian summer. 3rd October 2009 - this was the date that the couple had set aside from their busy schedule to walk the aisle together. But this year’s heavy cricket schedule has come into the union of these two young people and the couple has to hunt for yet another convenient date, but not in this year’s calendar, hopefully in the next years. Already last year the couple was hit by a tragedy in family - the demise of Lara’s father. The tragedy shattered the bride’s dream of getting blessed by her father at her wedding day. The upcoming days are going to be very crucial for the Australian cricket and as the second in command, Michael Clarke has to play his role to the perfection. The Australian team is presently in South Africa where they are up for settling some old scores. And after that the Aussies will start preparing for the Ashes. Till early next year, the vice captain would be found either hitting the pitch or catching up flights. And that means wedding and honeymoon has to wait for yet another year. However, the cricketer gets a ten-day respite from his hectic international cricket schedule and that falls between May 12th and 23rd. There was a possibility of tinkling of wedding bell through that time. But Lara wants a true bash with her people around her. She would preferably have a wedding in Sydney’s southern suburb with her family. Since Lara rules out the possibility of a wink-and-you-miss wedding party, there is little possibility that the couple will be able to come together until March next year.
