Rating 3.7/5 (3 votes)

Big-hitting Australian batsman David Warner was the first Australian player to debut for his country without any first class experience since 1877 and he marked his debut with a 43-ball 89 against South Africa in an international cricket Twenty20 match in January. His style shows that he seems made for T20 cricket.

Cricket360 takes a look at all the promising young players who seem to be created for T20:

Dawid Malan
The English born South African cricketer lets his bat do the talking as he did when he made 103 from just 51 balls for Middlesex. He transformed the game in which his team stood at 21 for 4! He looks promising as much for his stroke play as his mental toughness.

Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma made his mark when he came to the crease with India struggling on 33 for 3 against South Africa, in the inaugural ICC World Twenty20. He is known for his athletic fielding and cool temperament to compliment his solid batting technique.

Graham Napier
This Englishman plays for Essex and has surprisingly been ignored for the English team so far. He was responsible for some amazing statistics in a match where he guided his team to victory against Sussex scored 152 not out from 58 balls. The innings set a number of records, notably the highest individual score in a T20 innings in England, and in the domestic Twenty20 competition; the highest number of sixes in an individual Twenty20 innings (16); the most runs scored in boundaries in an individual Twenty20 innings (136 runs, scored as 10 fours, and 16 sixes).

Sohail Tanvir
The Pakistani was certainly one of the finds of the IPL last year. In 11 matches for Rajasthan Royals he took 22 wickets at only 12.09 runs per wicket, and also got the best Twenty20 figures of all with a devastating spell of 6 for 14 against the Chennai Super Kings.

Andre Fletcher
He is someone who may have gained something from his association with the dubious Allen Stanford because it was during the Twenty20 tournament in the Caribbean when he played for Stanford's Superstars that he and his potential were noticed. He is a big hitter with a traditional style.
Cameron White
Cameron White has the distinction of scoring 143 unbelievable from just 55 balls! And it is this that signifies the player and how destructive he is capable of being. That he is also a creditable bowler adds to his arsenal.

Lionel Baker
This was also a talent that was brought to light Stanford Super Series in October and November which made him his island Montserrat’s first international cricketer.

Yusuf Pathan
Fast over taking his brother as the more well known of the Khans from Baroda, his being part of the Rajasthan Royals seemed to bring out the best in him as he rose to the challenge in all departments of the game.

Tyron Henderson
He was one of the surprise packages of the IPL auctions this year; he is among the T20 game’s highest wicket takers and with an economy rate of under 7 runs! He is consistent and made a great impact representing Middlesex.

Shaun Marsh
One of the assets of the Kings XI side, he is reliable, with an uncomplicated technique and calm temperament.

Kieron Pollard
He scored 126 on his first class debut for Trinidad and was another player noticed during the 2008 Stanford Super Series when he smashed 26 off just 9 balls, which included 3 consecutive sixes.
