It is quite strange to know that Dr. Navjot Kaur, the wife of former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu struck by food poisoning and dehydration as claimed by the family members. The rumors have also been coming out of a suicide attempt.
The doctors at the Sadbhavna hospital in Patiala were clueless about whether it was a genuine case of food poisoning or was it a suicidal attempt. But the doctors later declared it a case of food poisoning. Dr Navjot Kaur was admitted in the intensive care unit of the hospital when she was brought in a semi conscious state. On hearing the news of his wife Navjot Sidhu rushed to the hospital from Amritsar but refused to give any comment on the matter. Navjot Singh Sidhu shifted to Amritsar in 2004 for contesting election from that constituency whereas his wife stayed in Patiala. In this case it must be noted that Dr. Navjot has a history of depression and her taking of anti depressant pills. However all the relatives and family members refuted the rumors of suicidal attempt.
Navjot Singh Sidhu, a cricketer who later became a commentator, a T.V. personality and a politician has been in the news for various reasons in the past years. The case is not far behind to remember when he was convicted for culpable homicide. This road rage case happened in the year 1988 when a middle aged man died of injuries inflicted on him by Sidhu and his friend. The case remains unsettled and the people are connecting this family adversity to that road rage incident by saying that the soul of that poor man is somewhere around to get justice in his own way. Some are taking it a case of suicide while some considering it a simple case of food poisoning, but it is only Dr Kaur who knows the truth.
Dr Kaur is an MBBS degree holder who contributed a lot in the success story of Navjot Singh Sidhu and stood firm in all situations beside him. The family has seen the good phases but no doubt whatever happened is just another bad thing in the family after the road rage case. Dr Kaur, who herself is a medical practitioner must take care of her health and to clear the doubts about the case she must speak to the media.
