Shane Warne Least Interested to Make a Come Back Print E-mail

The man has got a Midas touch, this Shane Warne. He converted all the players who were raw and pulsating with energy into such a unit that it was able to win the Indian Premier League in the inaugural issue with a consummate ease, but with lots of style and élan. The magic that he could weave with the ball had set the tongues wagging whether he would return to mainstream cricket for Australian team once again, as his place still continues to be unfilled. Shane Warne however seems to have moved to greener pastures.

now there is no doubt whatsoever that Shane Warne would return to Australian cricket once again, though his place still continues to be unfilled. He has chosen his new vocation and it is to wield the microphone and bring a sense of excitement to the commentating box now. In a cricketing career of 15 years, he never conformed to the demands of the coach of being physically fit and he still has the same level of scorn for it.

A man who mastered the art of using a cricket ball as a propulsion force to bamboozle the opposition, always flirting with controversy and never having a moment that did not a sense of excitement associated with it, Shane Warne is expected to regale the audiences in the current ashes with anecdotes from the field when he wields the microphone. He was one man who along with his compatriot Glen McGrath literally rewrote the history of Ashes. There were no other frontiers to conquer, so the challenge to tweak the ball for a new kind of revolution was not there at all. Poker became his new vocation, and in between advent of Rajasthan Royals, and the mantle of captainship on him changed has whole life. Now there has been a great deal of anticipation build around it for the second season. The kind of mileage and the advantage that accrued to him does not have any such parallels with any other sports person.

It would indeed be fun to watch his comments more so in context of the strict physical fitness regime that the coaches of the present time resort to and the kind of abhorrence he ahs for the same. His new innings in Ashes would indeed be as interesting as the innings that he had when he used to command the ball to spin according to his desire, and the viewership and the increased TRP ratings that it would provide would indeed be a portent that would be watched with great interest by all the marketing persons.
