Chairman of the selection committee of India, Krish Srikkanth would indeed be a blessed man, as after he took over the charge, the Indian cricket team is indeed on a roll. It has started making winning a habit, and that is what he desires that it should become the defining timber for the team. He being one of the finest fielders of the time should see to it that the fielding standards improve, and once they are done, then there would not be any team who would be in a position to defeat the Indian team.

He was exultant with joy at the performance of his boys, and was effusive in praise for them for their ability to even win the matches away from home, and not remain paper tigers on the home turf. As a matter of fact this change, which has come into the Indian team, has made it one of the most formidable teams in the world in the present times. He has particular praise for his batsmen and is of the view that they can score on any pitch now. He informed that the Indian team is now blessed with an explosive top order and a very reliable middle-order besides a bowling department which is capable of getting teams out. With such a rich resource, he has the confidence that the present team will make use of this momentum to become the best in the world.

Krish Srikkanth has particular remarks reserved for his batsman Virender Sehwag and is of the view that the manner in which he bats, Krish Srikkanth is reminded of his hero Vivian Richards. If it is coming from Srikkanth, who himself was an explosive batsman at the top of the order, it indeed means Viru has walked into the haloed portals of the great batsmen of all times.
