Ashraful and Kapali have already proved their mettle several times in various matches. As the captain of Bangladesh team Ashraful has high responsibility to prepare the team for a win against the Australian Team. Both the players have a mixed career graph in both test cricket and the one day international. Ashraful is a right handed batsman who has played a crucial role in many of the Bangladesh victories. No one can forget his century in 2005 Natwest series against Australia at Cardiff when he made everyone surprised at the win of Bangladesh team. It was really a big upside down that a team in its nascent stage defeated the world best team. In another match against South Africa during Cricket World Cup 2007 Ashraful shone to the height to win “man of the match” award. In the match he proved the strength of his bat again when he clinched 87 runs for 83 balls and gave South Africa a big blow. Alok Kapali is another cricketer who is full of potential in the Bangladesh team. This all rounder has all the caliber of the likes of Shane Warne when it comes to bowling. On his batting side there is a lot of improvement since his entry in the national team. Although termed as an all rounder, Kapali has impressed more with his bowling than his batting. Till the time both Ashraful and Kapali have given a mix response to their fans. There were times when the two were sacked from the team for their poor performances both at home and at international level. These two budding cricketers of Bangladesh team are now heading for the upcoming ODIs, to be held in Australia from 31 August 2008, till Sep 6. This Australian Tour will be a great challenge for both of them. In order to make a win the two must set their morale high along with the team members and no doubt their team effort can make the world surprise again.
