Shaun Tait, after all, may be able to return to Rajasthan Royals in the second season of the IPL in South Africa, and it could be just in time when his team needs him the most. Though he has not been cleared by Cricket Australia on medical grounds, Tait is preparing himself to join his IPL team in South Africa shortly.  Tait has started practicing in the nets after a lay-off of three months on the health grounds. Tait was the only addition to the Rajasthan Royals squad and he was purchased by Rajasthan Royals in the 2009 auction for $ 375000. He is hopeful that he would be able to be with the Rajasthan Royals, even though it may be for two-three matches of IPL in South Africa.

Tait is an integral part of the Aussie squad for the One day as well as the 20-20 matches and he is hopeful that he would be able to be a part of the Aussie squad for the T20 World Cup in June at London. Tait has a personal reason to play in the IPL in South Africa as well. He wants to have a real match practice of the T20 variety before the start of the T20 World Cup.

Tait has been a player who has been hitting the sick bay on account of the bowling action which is against the normal convention of bowling a ball, and as a result he has to suffer numerous elbow, back and hamstring injuries. While there have been subtle suggestions to change his bowling action, Tait does not consider the idea worth even pondering about, what to think of implementing it.

He is of the view that it is his bowling action which has made him an integral part of the Aussie squad and he is ready to endure the injuries instead of bringing about a change in his action. It indeed is an amazing belief in one's abilities and it needs to be praised for the sheer tenacity of it.
