Imran Khan was quoted in the cricket news as saying that he does not watch T20 cricket matches since they are based on chance rather than skill or talents. He therefore thinks that any international cricket team can win the T20 World Cup. Shahid Afridi also feels that the chances of the Pakistan team to win the T20 World Cup are not negatively affected because of the team having played the least amount of cricket in international cricket in the past two years.
Even Bangladesh has played more international cricket than Pakistan since January 2007, however Afridi is confident that this will not affect their chances of winning the T20 World Cup. According to him there are few changes in the team except that the captain of the team is now Younis Khan. Imran Khan is not exactly a T20 cricket fan and indicated as much when he went on to say that being a game of chance, anyone can win the T20 World Cup. He was also reported in the cricket news as saying that he wouldn’t rule out the possibility that India had some role to play in the isolation of Pakistan in the international cricket community. He also went on to say that the ICC decision to bar Pakistan from hosting any World Cup 2011 matches but that the Pakistan cricket board should have done a better job of preparing themselves to convince the ICC not to shift the matches or to shift the World Cup to an alternative location this time. PCB has announced that "The Pakistan Cricket Board...has now sent a letter to Hon Michael Beloff QC, President of ICC Disputes Resolution Committee, to refer the matter to arbitration tribunal appointed in accordance with the rules of Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) to be held in United Kingdom.” PCB has explained why in their opinion the adjudication of the dispute should not be done by the committee appointed by the ICC. "Since the decision was taken by the ICC executive board, therefore the PCB deems it appropriate that in the interest of justice, equity and fair play the matter should be adjudicated by CAS," the PCB said in a statement.
