Cricket Australia has also seemed to have learnt the lesson from the 2005 Ashes camp where emotional harassment had led many players go astray? Has somebody given a thought to the reason behind Warne's escapades, has it got something to do with the fact that he felt the pangs of the absence of his girl friend and wife and their resorted to flirting and got involved in all kind of controversies.

Main Text: Better late than never seems to be the maxim that has become the mantra for Cricket Australia so it has decided that all the beautiful and glamorous wives and girl friends of the Aussie players who have been selected to play in the Ashes be present in the pre-England team camp so that the emotional quotient is topped up. Among the various causes attributed to drubbing that Australia received in the 200 Ashes, one of the key issues was associated with Wives and Girlfriends. Adam Gilchrist the Aussie keeper during that series had brought it out succinctly in the in his book, True Colors. Some of the quotes from the work illustrate it amply:

"It was apparent, when the guys returned to the hotel from Lord's, that some personality clashes had disrupted relations between wives and players," Gilchrist wrote.

"A guy would go out to dinner with his partner and hear bad things about someone else's partner.”You could be sure that the same was happening somewhere else, in reverse. "So it ended up that some of the guys were suffering from their divided loyalties."

As the Aussie team for the current Ashes is a heady combination of youth which is impetuous and is always susceptible to getting caught in the emotional whirlpool, even the senior players of the Aussie squad are hopeful that the pre-Ashes camp will ensure improved harmony on this year's tour. The apprehensions still loom large that there are two girls in the team who do not see eye to eye and may create trouble but it is a professional hazard that has to be factored in, feels authorities of Cricket Australia.

These kinds of initiatives have already been successful as illustrative from the Indian Premier league in the second season in South Africa where the players were allowed to have their spouses and in particular for Delhi daredevils where the wives formed the part of the glamorous cheer leaders.
