The winners of the Miss Bollywood contest at the IPL have finally been declared, and the crown goes to 35 year old Model and actor Dune Kossatz of East London. The winners were declared in a dazzling ceremony at Montecasino entertainment complex in Johannesburg, early on Sunday morning. Out of the 48 finalists selected from each of the IPL games held across stadiums in South Africa, Dune Kossatz received the most internet votes, crowning her ‘Miss Bollywood’.
As for the confusion regarding the price (it was assumed that Miss Bollywood would get to star in a movie with Shahrukh Khan), the IPL finally decided "a guided tour through Bollywood", because organisers said it’s difficult to guarantee a role with Shahrukh Khan. This is in addition to a generous cash prize of 50,000 rand and an all paid trip to India. Kossatz was particularly ecstatic when she received a special crown, made by Gitanjali Jewellers containing gold, silver, diamonds and other precious stones, from former Miss Universe Michelle McLean of South Africa. The runners up – Johannesburg Business Marketing graduate Genna Cloud, 24, who got the second greatest number of votes, was named First Princess and Dunay Nortje was crowned Second Princess by the panel of judges. All the three winners were white South Africans who beat several Indian contestants, and to that Kossatz said: I think it's great! I think we should all stick together and love another and be respectful and tolerant of each other and their cultures." The celebrations at Montecasino were an opulent affair, with a host of sports persons, Business tycoons and celebrities walked down the red carpet. But the crowds were left disappointed as Shilpa Shetty was the only Bollywood star they caught a glimpse of, and that too for only a few seconds as she didn’t even pose for photos.Meanwhile, Modi who danced with Michelle McLean at the ceremony had an additional cause to celebrate. He had become a grandfather for the first time and that too just an hour before the ceremony.
