Life in the limelight is not easy, especially for someone like Sachin Tendulkar whose every move is monitored by the media, with the lens men being a constant in his life. However he was recently reported in the cricket news as acknowledging the role that camera persons play in international cricket.
For a change, the very people who have striven to get a snap of batting legend Tendulkar got the chance to be in the same frame as him. At a recent event where Sachin felicitated the winners of the photo contest based on the theme Streets of Mumbai and also posed for some photos with the very men who have dogged his every footstep over the years, trying to get that perfect shot, the picture that says a thousand words. Sachin was reported in the cricket news as appreciating the hard work that these people do, which is often overlooked by many and decried by the very subject of their work. "As a cricketer I can tell you, I have seen photographers sit under the sun on a cricket field for an entire day, waiting for that one magical moment," he said, giving an impression of rare sympathetic insight into the oft reviled profession. Sachin, who will not be part of the upcoming T20 World Cup, has backed India’s chances of retaining the World Cup title this time as well. Saying that Team India is the most balanced side in international cricket right now, he expressed his confidence in the team successfully defending the crown. He lauded the fact that the players could take pressure and thrives under it and also that the Indian bowling attack was a versatile one, on par with the best; that would be able to take advantage of the seaming conditions in England. "Zaheer, Ishant, Rudra Pratap Singh form a lethal combination, particularly in English conditions. Our seam attack has a lot of variety and that would come handy in such conditions. On our day, we can demolish any batting side. We come as a package. I am certain this package is the best in business at the moment. This package has everything which is necessary to make us world champions once again," said Tendulkar.
