For India everything went wrong from very beginning in the last cricket world cup in 2007. First they tested defeats against Habibul Bashar’s Bangladesh. But much water has flown through the river since then and India is the most dreaded team in the upcoming Twenty-20 tournament.
On June 6, Dhoni’s team is going to take head start in the World Twenty-20 championship against the team Bangladesh, the same team that shattered their World cup (50 over) dream two years ago. But while team Bangladesh is literally the same with making no significant upward movement in the international cricket ladder, India under Dhoni has gone from strength to strength. In these two years, Bangladesh team has gone through quite a bit of uncertainties with a group of senior players leaving for ICL. These years, the team has undergone a rebuilding phase. Now under the leadership of Mohammed Ashraful Bangladesh is all resolved to reincarnate itself in the arena of international cricket. Here is the full Bangladesh squad: Mohd Ashraful (c), Mashrafe Mortaza (vc), Junaid Siddique, Tamim Iqbal, Shamsur Rahman, Raqibul Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Shakib Al Hasan, Naeem Islam, Mahmudullah, Abdur Razzak, Shahadat Hossain, Syed Rasel, Rubel Hossain and Mithun Ali (wk). With Ashraful and his boys all resolved to give tough time to the movers and shakers of international cricket, Dhoni and his much hyped squad should take extra care so that it does not repeat last year’s debacle against Bangladesh.
