Injuries, rest concerns, rifts, too much of talking, lack of form, chance to others, etc. etc. etc, whatever may be the reason, Team India does not look healthy and happy to play international cricket. The whole team should have been scheduled for a rest by delaying the West Indies tour for a couple of weeks.
The issue isn’t only about fatigue and injury; it is basically about mismanagement in terms of Teams Schedule and an irresponsible behaviour from media and fans just because of one series loss, to tear apart and forget the good job done by the team in the recent past. By this it is not meant that we accept the irresponsible behaviour of Sehwag and Dhoni but at the same time things would have been other way round I we had supported our team in bad times like the recent T20 World Cup. Now when things are over and we are no longer in race for the T20 Championship Title, all experts and analysts are busy counting on mistakes rather than suggesting a way out to build the team for the 2011 World Cup. The West Indies tour does not look like a morale booster for team as their form, fitness and confidence is poles apart. We should be ready for one more loss in near future and then look to some constructive steps to be taken for re-building the Team for the upcoming International Cricket. The Players who opted/rested out of the West Indies Tour:
The new and experience faces who got chance due to IPL Season 2 and domestic cricket performance: M Vijay, S Badrinath, Abhishek Nayar, Ashish Nehra, Ravindra Jadeja and Dinesh Karthik. The Indian Team for West Indies Tour (ODI Series): MS Dhoni (Capt. /wk), Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Rohit Sharma, Harbhajan Singh, Pragyan Ojha, Yusuf Pathan, M Vijay, S Badrinath, RP Singh, Praveen Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Abhishek Nayar, Ashish Nehra, Ravindra Jadeja, Dinesh Karthik.
