Mohammad Asif has been named in Pakistan squad for champions’ trophy which is going to be held in South Africa next month. The Pakistan fast bowler had been banned from international cricket makes his comeback after more than a year.
Asif who tested positive for banned substance nandrolone at the inaugural IPL season. Although Asif has been selected in the Pakistan team, he is not eligible to part of the camp as his ban expires on September 22nd a month from now coinciding with the beginning of the eight team tournament. The champions trophy will be played only on two venues in South Africa which would be Johannesburg and Centurion.
