It has been declared by the ECB that the former England cricketers who decide to join Indian Cricket League will be banned from County Cricket. This is something that is creating lots of controversies over these types of impositions.
Indian Cricket League has planned for a mini world cup by March and it has been declared that players of England, Africa, India, Pakistan and perhaps New Zealand will be a part of it. These will be all of 20-20 overs and all kinds of preparations are being followed. However, big Cricket controversies have approach in international cricket. These are regarding ECB’s declaration against the former England test players who are supposed to join Indian Cricket League for this unofficial World Cup. The cricket board says that these cricketers will be banned from County Cricket. They will not be allowed to be a part County Cricket if they play this series with Indian Cricket League. All the teams of other countries have got no problem with this particular problem with this offer, then with no reason why ECB is showing these colours. This is indeed very absurd kind of declaration as has been made in the international cricket scenario. This is nothing but a direct dominance made by ECB on the personal decisions of the cricketers. Every player is independent to decide for his career. It is a direct declaration of its false pride and there is no logic to support such declarations. As for players like Graeme Hick, Darren Gough, Ali Brown, Dominic Cork, Robert Croft, Chris Adams, Ramprakash and Mark Ealham; this is a good opportunity to be a part of such an event in this particular point of time. It is really an unfair act by cricket board to impose such kind of decisions over the players who have dedicated best of their performances to the teams and for the country. The assessments are being made that these players are surely going to be a part of this series of international cricket. In this attempt, the main crux will depend on the shift that ECB will have to make in this strange behaviour. Either it has to stick to its declaration and ban these players, or much surrender to the determination in these players. As a matter of fact, ECB is just not being sporty enough to give a healthy competition and thus its image is being questioned by the cricket lovers all over the world. Being world’s oldest cricket board these types of declarations are really against its fame. It is a big question about how ECB is going to deal with these entire Cricket controversies on its dignity and what will it do to sustain the confidence of its players and teams.
