PCB surfing Cricket Academies for Young Pacers Print E-mail

Pakistan is all set to fill the vacant slot of seem bowlers aroused out of the absence of main pacers due to various reasons with young academy players.

PCBPakistan Cricket Board is working hard to ahead of the cricket series with India in the coming January, to cover up the absence of three of its main pacers due to injuries or suspension. Mohammed Asif is facing a ban following the detection of banned drug. ‘Rawalpindi Express’ Shoib Akhtar is also in doping dilemma. The speedster may also have to pay fines to the PCB. Umar Gul is unable to regain fitness due to injuries. All these three bowlers used to form the pace head of the Pakistani cricket. PCB has no other option, except finding replacement to these pacers.

The most talented bowler they should reckon is Anwar Ali. He had shown glimpses of his talent in the final of Under 19 Cricket World Cup against India. This right-arm medium-fast bowler’s fabulous performance of 5 for 35 made the opponents efforts fruitless. He is very good in swinging the ball both the ways. Another indication of his talent was the Zimbabwe tour of Pakistan Cricket Academy, where he fetched 11 wickets in three matches. Another four game series of the Academy with Kenya found him pocketing 18 wickets in four matches. Cricket360 sees him as a good replacement to ‘Rawalpindi Express’.

Mohammed Talha is another speedster from the Pakistan Cricket Academy, waiting for a call from the Pakistan national team. His performances also were remarkable during the matches of the academy with Zimbabwe and Kenya where he took 15 and 11 wickets respectively. The main advantage of Talha is his ability to use Yorker. Cricket360 analyses the presence of a bowler of this kind would certainly be of advantage to Pakistan, which has been troubling recently on account of poor bowling performances.

ODIs are considered to be the game of all-rounder. Pakistan answer to this problem in the future is definitely going to be Fawad Alam. His fabulous performance of 83 runs and 2 wickets for 34 only made Pakistan Cricket Academy win over Kenya in the recently played match between them. Fawad Alam, who has already played ODI for Pakistan, has a triple century to his credit against Kenya. This entire young brigade is going to make Pakistan team much stronger. In the future they will definitely glorify Pakistan cricket. They are going to poise a big threat to other cricket playing nations in the future.

India is all set to crush the all time rivals in the forthcoming test series in Pakistan, but it is not going to be a cake walk for them. Cricket360 is very much sure about the talents of these three academy players and they will make things worst for India in the series. The middle order will be enforced by Fawad Alam and the bowling attack will be safe in the hands of pacers like of Anwar Ali and Mohammed Talha.

Pakistan Cricket Board is also seeking the help of ex-players to help the national side. This is a good move as it will provide the senior players a chance to share their vast experiences with this relatively young brigade. This will definitely help the young players to play their natural game even under pressure situations.
