Cricket360 Review of the first ODI between India and England in Rajkot. India ran over the visitors as they recorded a landslide 158 runs victory and made the touring party suffer their third largest ODI defeat. Yuvraj Singh stole the limelight as he struck a lightning 138 off 78 deliveries even as a backache did its best to help England from stopping him. Zaheer Khan claimed 3 wickets as England crumbled to 229 chasing 387 for victory.

A comparative analysis of the Indian and England team on the eve of the commencement of the 7-ODI series in India. England won and lost a practice match each and the loss is substantial in terms of its implications. The bowling looks weak and the batting looks weaker. Indian Team is on a high after the recent successful Border – Gavaskar Trophy against Australia and here comes an uphill task again. The English Team is in India for a 7 ODI and 2 Test Match Series with 3 Warm-up games. The series will be a tough one for the Indian Team as they have just finished a Test Series on November 10, 2008 and the ODI Series against England starts from November14, 2008 in Rajkot.
