As usual, both Australian and Indian players are resorting to attack the opponents by means of unusual comments ahead of the Australia vs. India Test Match Series .
Australian Cricket Players are in the habit of keeping their morale very high and disturbing the concentration of the opponents ahead of any Test series by uttering comments which can run down chill in the spines of any human being. Ponting’s gang is not an exception to that. He is very much confident that even if they play just near to their capacity, they can beat any one. Great Ponting, but it is only possible if the opponents allow you to do that! Ricky Ponting says that still they are the best team and the Test Series ahead will prove it again. Well, let your believe save you as the Indian Side is thinking alike this time! Ponting is aware of the fact that he has very poor Test Batting Average against India. Just above 12 in 8 Tests and only once he could taste fifty. He said that he would definitely improve these figures this time; we hope it is not similar to the masculine figure of his. Cricket360 doesn’t take it seriously because whenever he comes to play in India, he assures the same and returns home with the least of his Test Average. In 2004 when Australia toured India, he couldn’t play in the first three Tests and when he played in the fourth one Aussies managed to lose it! India too is not bothered about his comments as “barking dogs seldom bite”! Mathew Hayden said that he didn’t think about retiring from the shorter version of cricket as he was still able to play it and enjoying it. Big Buddy, do others think alike for you? Sachin Tendulkar opines that the Test Series is between India and Australia and not between players of the home squad and is about more than senior’s game. It is always better to take an anticipatory bail if you are not confident enough. Tendulkar didn’t like to comment on Ganguly’s issue and he left it to selectors, coach and captain. Why to make the selectors unhappy, once you too may face the same condition tomorrow. “I just have to go and play my best” he said. We too pray for the same. Dhoni says that the hype over India-Australia Test Series is due to the fact that when Aussies had toured India they had played well and when India toured Australia, India too played well. But Cricket360 don’t think the statistics will agree with you Dhoni! He thinks playing good cricket till the end of the day has nothing to do with the inexperience of most of the Australian Players. It’s correct but the problem is that we are in the habit of making fast return to the pavilion even after having lots of experienced players. Anil Kumble believes it as a great opportunity to win a home series against Aussies as they lack in experience. Experience doesn’t make any difference to Indian Captain, as they are ready to surrender to the most inexperienced teams like Kenya. He thinks that all the players had enough rest and adequate preparation. But cricket fans are worried about the ‘rust’ the senior players have! He is not worried about Greg Chappell assisting the Aussies team. There you are what he can do by assisting them, once he couldn’t do anything when he was Coaching the Indian team!
