The interim governing body of Sri Lankan Cricket Board, led by Arjuna Ranatunga has finally softened its stand against their national players who had earlier joined the rebel Indian Cricket League. The recent cricket news said that the players, who were banned from all forms of cricket for playing in the various ICL Cricket Teams, were finally allowed to play domestic cricket.

Cricket rumors suggest that the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) was offended by such an approach by the Sri Lankan Cricket Board. Former Cricket Captain of Sri Lanka Marvan Attapattu was overwhelmed by the decision of the board. He said that all forms of cricket should be treated equally. The cricket rumors suggested that the bans on the cricket players were removed after careful thought and that too only partially. They were allowed to play in Domestic Cricket Team, whereas the ban on playing international cricket still remained.
