The fourth cricket match of ICL was played between Lahore Badshahs and Royal Bengal Tigers on 12th October. There was a lot of expectation in this match as Pakistan players were playing. The cricket setting was similar to an India – Pakistan encounter in ICL.
Lahore Badshahs won the toss and Inzamam decided to bat first in this ICL cricket match. There were a lot of expectations for the Pakistan players in ICL and are considered stronger in their bowling rather than batting. Lahore Badshahs started slow and steady and their first wicket fell at the end of the fourth over when the cricket score was 28. Farhat played a decent innings and scored 37 runs off 48 balls. Lahore Badshahs were playing a defensive game as wickets were falling at regular intervals. Inzamam was dismissed by Chandana for 19 runs, which turned the ICL match around as he was partnering with Shahid Yousuf. Yousuf played aggressively and scored 32 runs off just 18 balls with three boundaries and two sixes and remained unbeaten. The batting performance of Lahore Badshahs was disappointing and they put up a cricket score of 139 runs at the end of their innings. Chandana of Royal Bengal Tigers bowled well and managed to take 4 wickets giving away just 21 runs in his 4 overs. Chandana was the key man for restricting the Pakistan Team to 139. Royal Bengal Tigers started their innings on a positive note chasing a low cricket score of 140 runs at the rate of 6.95 runs per over. Marshall was aggressive from the start of the Royal Bengal Tigers innings. The opening partnership of 50 runs came in the 6th over. Soon, Deep Dasgupta who gave a good support to Marshall at the other end was dismissed by Saqlain Mushtaq, when the cricket score was 51 runs. The next wicket also fell in quick succession. McMillan joined Marshall and put up a partnership to take Royal Bengal Tigers to an 8 wicket victory. Marshall was unstoppable scoring 76 runs off just 53 balls with 9 boundaries and 2 sixes. McMillan was also aggressive scoring 35 runs off just 25 balls. Marshall was declared man of the match who played the winning knock for Royal Bengal Tigers and they reached the target of 140 runs in the 17th over itself. Royal Bengal Tigers took two points.
