With a quick review over Bangladesh's Test performances against New Zealand, we discover that five of the six matches have ended in innings defeats. Not only that Bangladesh has got the persistent inability to post substantial scores, and that results with the sequences where it could hardly make New Zealand play for the second time in the other game. This Test Series is definitely going to be an easy warm-up for the players of New Zealand as they are sure of certain Bangladeshi strokes. However the win in the 1st ODI still can bring in some flame of optimism in the Bangladesh Team. There is the inclusion of incisive new-ball bowling that is indeed a challenge for the visitors. Bangladesh is optimist about this test as New Zealand has got very poor top order as the initial top four have never played a Test in Asia. As analysed by Cricket360, the performances of Bangladesh Team has revived a lot in comparison to their earlier performances. This can be well realised as in the opening of the Test, we see the performance of Rahim Mehrab Hossain, the left-hander with a maiden half-century. With a stand of 79 not out, he lifted Bangladesh from 44-4. In the course of fifth-wicket partnership stand of 139 runs with Mushfiqur Rahim, who too was 59 not out, gives the Team 183-4 at closing of the opening day of the Test Match. This is the same Mehrab who could not make more than eight or six in his last Test appearance against Sri Lanka in 2007. New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori made some specific changes in his bowling strategies in order to break the duo. The best fifth-wicket stand for Bangladesh was Mohammad Ashraful who made a severe stand. Vettori with 2-50 could jolt down Bangladesh batting only after the lunch. He grabbed two of the three wickets in a space of ten runs. He dismissed Tamim Iqbal at the first delivery after the break. This brought in a great amount of excitement to the game. Iqbal, could hardly manage 18 and could not contribute much to the Team. Then it was Iain O'Brien who dismissed Rajin Saleh at 20 off 129 balls. It was just before Vettori took Ashraful’s wicket. The pitch was spin friendly, and Bangladesh hit it with four spinners and two seamers. On the contrary, New Zealand was counting on Jeetan Patel and Vettori and their three seamers. All-rounder Naeem Islam (Off-spinner) made the debut for the Test from Bangladesh Team and made it optimistic. The results are to be followed by and to keep a track of every single blink just be with Cricket360 .
