As the game leads to the second day Bangladesh comes in with all its spirits and Shakib makes an effort to leave New Zealand in scraps. This was though not expected but, yes Bangladesh really performed better than the 1st day . It seems that they are definitely in a mood to make the difference.

BCA LogoCricket360 brings in the latest crux of each day test matches in the Test Series between Bangladesh and New Zealand at Chittagong. On the second day as the expectations were turned upside down and against all odds, Bangladesh came up with some better management. New Zealand made 155 for 9, to which Vettori made a contribution of 49 runs and remains not out, to which Shakib Al Hasan literally shattered the whole batting pattern of New Zealand and came up with three wickets, reeling New Zealand at 57-4. On the contrary for Bangladesh Mehrab made a contribution of 83 runs and he was followed by Mushfiqur with79. To this the role of Vettori was with 5-59 by 90 runs on the scoreboard.

Bangladesh is now having the upper hand and by the end of the second day. Shakib Al Hasan's six-wicket haul was a terrific stand point with 6 for 31 off 24 overs. Though Mehrab is playing only his second Test, still he managed to hit 11 boundaries during 179-balls. Mehrab and Rahim together contributed the team with 144 for the fifth wicket. The losing of Mehrab Hossain to O'Brien in the fourth over was little tough to take for Bangladesh. Not only was that New Zealand even reeling well at 100 for 7 under the dominance of Hasan. The performances of all the other players were statically good and everyone was making it to the team.

Daniel Vettori, with his consistence performance brought in 48 and took his team to a range of 155 for 9. It is only few players who are making a difference. On the second day test match we see him being supported by Iain O'Brien with 3-36 and the off-spinner Patel finished with 2-67.  However the poor participation of other players put New Zealand in a more losing position with nine wickets off in the final three hours. This was much unexpected for a team like New Zealand. We can very well make an assumption that either Bangladesh is playing too good or New Zealand players are hardly taking the game seriously. It is true that to make scores in front of the spinners is hard, but then what about the bowlers of New Zealand.  On the contrary Bangladesh is having best of its players in the ICL and still is performing so well.

The test is turning very disappointing on the part of New Zealand and Bangladesh is getting optimistic about a sure win.  Their gaming strategies and the team work of Bangladesh is noteworthy, and on the other hand the mismanagement among the New Zealand team can be well recognised.
