On the fourth day of Bangladesh vs. New Zealand, New Zealand brought in a slight troublesome point for Bangladesh. Bangladesh is now at such a point that to win over them New Zealand, it must wake up and have a better gaming strategy. This is going to give New Zealand a tough time.

Cricket360 brings you all the latest and the updated official information about the Test Series between Bangladesh and New Zealand at Chittagong. The analytical review of Cricket360 discovers that the performance of New Zealand players were little better in the 4th day of the Test series between Bangladesh and New Zealand. The batting was opened by Aaron Redmond, who added a score of 62 and remained not out. On the other hand it was Jesse Ryder with 38 runs brought in New Zealand in better position as compared to the first 3 days. It was done through a combination of 90-run second-wicket stand. New Zealand could manage to be with 145-2 on the fourth day at Chittagong. As the day began New Zealand actually needs a score of chasing 317 to win.   However by the end of the day the state was pretty balanced.

Daniel Vettori, the New Zealand skipper was as usual became the spine of the game. As the day ends New Zealand are in the need of 172 runs to win over Bangladesh. This is surely not going to be that easy as Bangladesh is no more that easy to win kind of team. It has shown its performances well in the first three days of this test series at Chittagong.  New Zealand has got no other choice than to bat 90 overs to draw the match on the 5th day that is 21st of Oct. 2008.

Bangladesh, made a terrific of 242 runs in their second innings, but the bowlers could not perform up to the mark. There was a continuous tug in the pitch with small bounces. Bangladesh literally needs 8 more wickets to get the first win over New Zealand, a major Test playing nation in the Cricket world. Bangladesh was in its best form and with a perfect gaming strategy of overnight score of 188-8, added 54 runs to their score. Mortaza was with 44 and added 40 for the ninth wicket. He was in partnership with Razzak with 18 and 22 with Shahadat Hossain.

New Zealand made a shot of 171 in cooperation with Redmond and Jamie How. Redmond took two successive boundaries off with the fast bowler Shahadat Hossain and collected his first Test fifty. The participation of How too was little remarkable as he hit five boundaries and got a six off the pacer Mashrafe Mortaza.  This was however cut short by the Bangladeshi left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak. The performance of New Zealand is rather disappointing all these days. In its Test history it never chased more than 164 away from home. If Bangladesh wins over this match then they will have the second record of winning a Test, after the game with Zimbabwe at Chittagong in 2005. Bangladesh is really looking forward for this historic win and is giving New Zealand a tough time.

Thus to know who wins and whether Bangladesh could make a record in its Test history or not, keep a track of Cricket360 and get all the updated and latest news about this Test series.
