Gillespie of Ahmedabad Rockets proved to be expensive and gave away 21 runs in just 2 overs. Patel on the other hand was economical and took the 1st wicket of Dasgupta. This slowed the run rate. Patel bowled an excellent spell giving away just 12 runs from 4 overs and taking a wicket. From here on, wickets regularly fell for Royal Bengal Tigers and the captain McMillan who played a match winning knock in the previous match steadied the Royal Bengal Tigers innings.

The real shocker for Royal Bengal Tigers came in the 14th over when Sriram bowled McMillan for 21 runs off 25 balls with 2 boundaries and a maiden six. The cricket score then was 94 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. This was a crucial wicket at the correct moment as the Royal Bengal Tigers were accelerating at this point reports Cricket360.

Bhima Rao was introduced into the attack by Ahmedabad Rockets who ran through the lower order batsmen of Royal Bengal Tigers and claimed 4 wickets. Goodwin score 61 runs off 38 balls including 10 boundaries and a maiden six. The opening pair of Ahmedabad Rockets reached the target of 132 runs with ease in the 12th over itself. The openers just cruised to victory and nothing was stopping them.

This is the second time that Ahmedabad Rockets chased the target successfully at Ahmedabad. This is the highest opening partnership in the ICL reports Cricket360 . Royal Bengal Tigers was crushed by Ahmedabad Rockets opening pair and were totally outclassed in all departments. This was an astounding victory for Ahmedabad Rockets.
