Recent results may suggest otherwise, but Australian vice-captain Michael Clarke insists the balance of power in the world of Test cricket has not shifted.

MichaelClarke.jpgThe comments arrive as the Australian Test team takes a three-day spell, resting their sore and sorry bodies as they weather a storm of criticism and controversy in the fallout of their embarrassing second Test collapse.

But fiercely denying widespread claims Australia's era of dominance has ended, Clarke said his team's confidence is in tact.

So will India now assume Australia's place at the top of the cricketing world?

"I would disagree with that," Clarke told News Limited.

"It's not the first Test match I have lost, and I guarantee it won't be the last, but I know our mindset will be exactly the same as it was at the start of this game.

"We're going into Delhi to win the Test match.

"After the first Test when we had a draw, I remember getting on the bus and 'Punter' [Ricky Ponting] said to Peter Siddle, 'Mate you won't see too many results like that in this team.' It is so true. We win. We want to win every game we play.

"We are going to do everything in our power to make sure this Test in Delhi, we win. But we need to control the little things first."

Those little things will be practiced in three days time when training resumes in Dehli on Sunday ahead of the third Test in the series.

"A couple of days off will help," Clarke said, with late inclusion Shaun Marsh set to arrive in India before training resumes.

"To leave the bat and ball in the bag for a while will be great ... there's enough experience in our team to know things can turn around quickly in India."
