Tendulkar - Gambhir Snatch Away the Opportunity from the Aussies Print E-mail

Review: Session 2 (post-lunch) of the Third Test Match of the 'Border - Gavaskar Trophy' between India and Australia at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, New Delhi.

Sachin Tendulkar shows his class and experience with Gautam Gambhir's wise cricketing skills to snatch away a 'Golden Opportunity' from the Australians in the 3rd Test Match at Kotla, New Delhi.

The duo played very well to pass the test of their cricketing character once again but Tendulkar fall short of one more likely century just before Tea by getting out on a score of 68 with 11 boundaries. Johnson got his second success in form of Tendulkar (c Haddin b Johnson), restricting Indian Team's score to 158 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.

Laxman replaced Tendulkar and quickly got off the mark before Tea Break was announced. Gambhir is still batting on 67 runs with 8 boundaries of 155 balls.

Tendulkar has batted beautifully no doubt but if we look at his records in the recent past we get a sign of his 'Aging'. He is one of the great rather greatest batting maestro’s of the Cricketing History but even he is mortal. He is not falling short in his quality of cricket but the lack of concentration has made him loose from scoring centuries on a decent number of occasions in the recent past. The last Test Match (2nd Test Match against Australia at Mohali) saw him achieving the greatest milestone but also saw him being deprived of one more century.

Cricket360 hopes that he regains this lack of concentration soon and achieves greater heights in the Cricketing World, taking Team India to the greatest of the levels achieved so far. Also we hope that the upcoming young talents all across the world learn from him.

Cricket360 wishes Team India all the luck for the next session and hope to see Laxman and Gambhir opening the batting tomorrow morning as well.
