In a Saturday thriller of ICL Season 2, Delhi Giants emerged as the winner when they managed to restrict Hyderabad Heroes one run short of their total in the 26th ICL T-20 match.

ICL's Delhi GiantsAfter winning the toss, Delhi Giants were ready to blow hard on a well positioned Hyderabad Heroes in the point tally of ICL Season 2 and they decided to bat first. The start was but not that much stable as the first wicket fell in the second over itself at a score of just 7 runs. Heroes frightened them by sending Gunavardhane in the 5th over, when score card read 30 runs.

No one could survive much more and Cricket360 found the batsmen going back to their seats as if in a procession, frequently. Delhi Giants got their 50 runs in first 49 balls and further they accelerated the run rate and reached 100 runs in the 15th over. The man behind their survival was Abbas Ali who nabbed 53 runs of 39 balls with eight marvelous boundaries. The whole credit of the last minute victory of Giants goes to this young chap and he was rewarded with the man of the match price.  After his departure, Delhi Giants had little to perform and they ended up their innings with 144 runs for nine wickets after 20 overs.

ICL's Hyderabad HeroesCricket360 felt the shadow of Delhi Giants innings prevailing up on Hyderabad Heroes as they too started off with a slow pace. Bond gulped Maher for a poor score of 4 runs in the 3rd over itself. But Heroes fought back well with a good partnership from Rayudu and Razzaq and the duo made their 50 runs tie-up within 47 balls. 12th over brought the worst for them as the 4th ball found in form Rayudu getting run out and the very next ball from Abid made Razzaq land in the hands of Mishra. The score then, was 75 runs for three wickets.

Wickets kept on falling regularly and in the last ball of 17th over, Binny’s resistance too ceased to exit. Once again it was Harris in the crease with Anirudh and Cricket360 expected something belligerent from Harris. But this time he couldn’t live up to the expectations and his fight came to an end with a personal score of 15 runs after 20 overs. Hyderabad heroes could only make 143 runs for 6 wickets and the ultimate winners were Delhi Giants and they should be grateful to Abbas Ali for every run he contributed.
