The first ICL Season 2 Semi-Final Match between Lahore Badshahs and Chennai Super Stars had a lot of expectations and a large crowd turned out. Cricket360 comments that the atmosphere was like an India – Pakistan Match. Lahore Badshahs had won the previous match to reach semi finals while Chennai Super Stars have lost and were looking for revenge.

ICL Season 2 First Finalist - Lahore BadshahsLahore Badshahs won the toss and chose to field first. Chennai Super Stars opened their batting slowly and were scoring freely right from the start of the innings. Chennai Super Stars lost their opener vignesh for 6 runs and the next wicket fell in the 5th over when the cricket score was 52 runs. The middle order of Chennai Super Stars added 100 runs to the cricket score.

Lahore Badshahs bowled exceptionally well and contained the batsmen of Chennai Super Stars. No batsmen were allowed to get loose and score freely. In the whole of Chennai Super Stars innings, only one six was hit. This shows the discipline of the bowlers of Lahore Badshahs.

Naved-ul-Hasan took three wickets and gave away 30 runs. Chennai Super Stars closed their innings for a cricket score of 165 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. The score was a decent and competitive one but Chennai Super Stars bowling power was in great doubt to defend this small score in a huge game like the ICL Season 2 semi final.

Lahore Badshahs continued their batting form from yesterday and were scoring aggressively. Farhat scored 45 runs from 24 balls featuring 5 boundaries and 3 sixes. This laid the initial foundation for the run chase. The middle order batsmen of Lahore Badshahs contributed to the run chase.

ICL's Chennai Super StarsInzamam blasted off the bowlers. Inzamam’s innings will be always calm and patient and an anchor innings comments Cricket360 but this batting performance from Inzamam was different and he was aggressive. Inzamam played an anchor innings and led his side to victory. Inzamam scored 62 runs from 33 balls featuring 8 boundaries and 2 sixes. Lahore Badshahs reached their target with ease in the 18th over.

Lahore Badshahs won the match by 6 wickets with 7 balls to spare. Inzamam was declared man of the match for his match winning knock. Lahore Badshahs advance yet again to the finals of this ICL Season 2 like the previous ICL Season.  Chennai Super Stars were unlucky and like the previous ICL Season went out in the semi finals. Lahore Badshahs are looking confident going into the finals reports Cricket360 .
