Cricket360 felt that Chris Harris was destined to make it happen once again for Hyderabad Heroes when he hit Chandana for a long on boundary on the 3rd ball of the 20th over to surpass the target of 162 runs with 3 wickets left. Maher and Khaleel started off cautiously as they scored only 2 runs in the first over after they came out to chase down the target set by Bengal Tigers. But they wanted to show that defending champions had not been made overnight and Adams was at the receiving end conceding 18 runs in the 3rd over.
Boundaries were raining until Klusner came to bowl the 6th over with a bag full of surprises. In that over Maher couldn’t time the bowl well to get past Chandana and he had to depart for 14 runs. Klusner once again struck in the same over when he plucked off the bails of Khaleel for 32 runs. The score was 50 for 2 after 6 overs. Razzaq never wanted his opponents to exert pressure on him and he dared to belt the second ball he faced over the heads for a six. But his partner could not live long as he was stumped on missing a Shivsagar delivery for 14 runs in the 11th over. Cricket360 found Chandana getting unbelievable turn and Razzaq could not escape from one, once he stepped out and was back home for 26 runs stumped by Deep Das. Boje too departed early at a score of 115 runs making some threats to their chase.

Binny rewrote the whole equation by hitting back to back sixes in the 16th over bowled by Chandana. In the last 2 overs Heroes needed 15 runs but a spectacular catch by Adams sent Kemp off. Binny hit a six to ease the situation but he was over excited as per Cricket360 and gave an easy catch to keeper on the last delivery of 19th over. Six runs were required in the last over bowled by Chandana and Harris concluded the game by hitting a boundary on the 3rd ball to enable them clash with Badshahs in the finals of ICL Season 2.
Earlier in the match after being sent to bat by the opponent captain, Bengal Tigers were creeping at 15 for 3 after 5 overs. A record breaking partnership of 145 runs from 94 balls between Klusner and Rohan, which is the highest ever ICL partnership, rescued Tigers from a certain tragic end to their
ICL Season 2 venture. Before getting caught on the penultimate delivery of their innings, Rohan picked 74 runs off 47 balls. Klusner looped the last ball over the ropes to make the teams’ total 161 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. The veteran all rounder snatched 78 runs from 56 balls decorated with 4 sixes and 4 boundaries.
Binny was awarded man of the match price and
Cricket360 is excited to watch the finals of
ICL Season 2 between the last time finalists Badshahs and Heroes.
