Cricket360 covered the second ICL final match between Lahore Badshahs and Hyderabad Heroes had a lot of expectations after Lahore Badshahs won the previous ICL final match. Hyderabad Heroes had to win this ICL match to stay in the tournament and win the ICL cup reports Cricket360.
Lahore Badshahs won the toss and chose to field first. Hyderabad Heroes had previously scored 170 runs in the first ICL Season 2 Finals and failed to defend it. Keeping this in mind, Hyderabad Heroes were unsure about the target and faced a strong bowling line up of Lahore Badshahs. Hyderabad Heroes opened their batting aggressively. Hyderabad Heroes scored 50 runs in quick succession in the 4th over. Maher played aggressively and scored 56 runs in 31 balls featuring 11 boundaries. Khaleel, on the other hand was patient and rotating the strike to Maher. Hyderabad Heroes lost their first wicket of Maher in the 8th over when the cricket score was 78 runs. Khaleel got retired in the 11th over and after this, Hyderabad Heroes innings was a complete collapse. There was no partnership and the middle order of Hyderabad Heroes failed miserably. Hyderabad Heroes managed to score only 60 runs in the last 10 overs. The last 10 overs was dominated by the bowlers of Lahore Badshahs restricting Hyderabad Heroes to a cricket score of 158 runs for the loss of 7 wickets at the end of the innings. Lahore Badshahs gave 23 runs as extras. This is a big problem of Lahore Badshahs in the whole ICL season comments Cricket360. Hyderabad Heroes must take all wickets to remain further in the ICL tournament. Lahore Badshahs had the upper hand and were confident of chasing down the score. Lahore Badshahs had a shaky start losing both their openers for just 8 runs. Abdul Razzaq of Hyderabad Heroes bowled exceptionally well and provided the initial breakthrough. Shahid Yousuf was the only batsmen to show some resistance in batting for Lahore Badshahs. Lahore Badshahs lost wickets at regular intervals. Shahid Yousuf scored 51 runs off 27 balls featuring 6 boundaries and 3 sixes but wickets were falling at the other end. Lahore Badshahs lost 8 wickets in the 14th over when the cricket score was 102 runs. The lower order batsmen of Lahore Badshahs showed some resistance but Lahore Badshahs were all dismissed in the 19th over for 150 runs. Hyderabad Heroes scalped all the wickets for 150 runs and won the match by 8 runs and kept their hopes of ICL trophy alive. The 3rd ICL final is full of expectations as the best of 3 ICL finals is levelled 1-1. Maher was declared man of the match for his match winning half century. Hyderabad Heroes had extended this ICL Season 2 by another day when the deciding match will be played on Sunday reports Cricket360 .
