The India vs. England series has shown some sort of transition happening in the way cricket was played by the Indian team. There has been a huge difference the way cricket was played 10 years before and now. Definitely the present team has got young blood in it but what differs is the attitude. Previously whenever an Indian batsman used to go out for batting in a match there always used to be some fear in his mind and a lot of questions like will I score today? Will I get out early? (And most importantly) Will I get selected for the next match/series? A lot has changed since then on and a new concept and attitude has taken over.

The present Indian team's mantra is to be fearless and to accept their responsibilities as a batsmen/bowler. The person who is following this mantra whole heartedly is Yuvraj Singh. After failing in the previous series (Vs Sri Lanka) Yuvi was kept away from the test series against Australia and there were rumors that Yuvi would not be selected for the ongoing series against England.

But Yuvraj had different plans he should thank his dear friend Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for showing his faith in his good old friend. Yuvraj before this series was only considered as a batsmen who can hit balls pretty hard but was never taken seriously as a person who can act responsibly. Moreover he was known for his flamboyant character and known much for his parties and his Girlfriends.

There is only one way a sports person can answer his critics by putting up his best show and at the right moment. Yuvraj has done the same in the ongoing series. He has cracked up back to back centuries in the first two one day matches
His innings in these two matches not only shows the aggressiveness but also shows that he has a sense of responsibility and knows what his role is.

His first knock of 138 were full of 6's and 4's showcasing his talents as a batsmen.
The shots played by him exhibited his talent as a batsmen and how good his timing is. He dominated the English bowlers and by the time the Indian innings was over he had literally put the game out of reach of England. Even England captain Kevin Pietersen acknowledged that on a day when someone plays such an innings against you there is nothing much a person can do about it. Yuvraj's critics were still skeptical about his innings and some of them even said that it was because of the start given by the Indian openers that Yuvraj was able to play such a tension free innings and that he was lucky.

All the remarks might have affected a person but for Yuvi it acted as a fuel. In the second ODI when things were not going India's way (India had lost quick three wickets at the start) it was Yuvraj's and Gautam Gambhir's partnership that got India back onto track. This time Yuvraj Played a mature innings and later on accelerated when it was required.

Yuvi's knock of 118 helped India to reach at a grand total of 292 runs. England would have never thought that India would have reached a score after 3 quick losses in the start. Though situation looked ominous for India when Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff were on a roll it was Yuvi who broke this partnership by first getting Freddie followed by Kevin. Yuvi finally finished with a 4 wicket haul. No wonder the man of the match was Yuvraj Singh.

These two innings has helped Yuvi to enter in ICC's top 10 batsmen list. Yuvi is comfortably placed at no 6 a jump of 11 places. This really shows that a transition has started for Yuvraj Singh from being a prince time has come to crown him and make him the new king an ideal replacement for our beloved dada Sourav Ganguly.
