Who the hell says that our daily Soaps are boring and repetitive in a sense of Script and story? For all the people who think like that I am sure you have not seen the 4th ODI between India and England with lot of things taking place that defies logic. I simply fail to understand why did the match first of all took place and on top of that why was it an ODI on the contrary it was an 20-20 Match. I would have loved to watch an ODI rather than watching some ordinary 20-20 match.
It was actually like watching a comedy of errors happening out there as rains played a hide and seeks game with the umpires. It would have been wise to call the game of rather than just going ahead for the sake of it. I understand it would have broken heart of all audience who had come to watch some good cricket and for all the cricket watching fanatics out there glued to their TV sets. As usual the match administrator’s gave due importance to money rather than the game. I know some of you will be happy with the results and would have loved to watch Virender Sehwag Blazing away. But just think about it was it cricket or just a movie show trying to get over with the match as soon as possible saving money of the Sponsor (ers).Let bygones be bygones and let us see the deeper aspect of yesterday’s (20-20) ODI match. The most important point was the return of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. After a span of 8 months the great batsmen had returned though he did play a couple of good shots he got out early probably due to lack of match practice as it become evident from the way he got out. The best innings of the match was a much deserved and well played half century by the swashbuckling Virender Sehwag. He was proclaimed as the man of match later on. His innings along with some great shots from the inform batsmen Yuvraj Singh helped India to reach a total of 166 which was later on modified to 198 as per D/L rule ( god I hate this rule). As for Yusuf Pathan—He came He saw and He conquered. Yusuf was the one who played the last delivery of the Indian innings and he hit it out the park Grate shot to end the innings. England on the other hand was never in the match with quick wickets and some great bowling from the Indian pace attack. The beginning itself marked the end for English team with 2 runs from 2 over’s and a wicket of the inform batsmen Ravi Bopara. It was Owais Shah who was the only English batsmen who had put some fight against the Indians. Finally India won and with that has won the Hero Honda cup too the remaining matches would be kind of formality lets hope to have some good cricket rather than watching a one sided match. But especially for this match must a special note to Zaheer Khan aka Zack. Hands down to Zaheer’s marvelous balling and leadership skills. It is often seen that the Indian batsmen shadow the Indian bowlers by some great batting from the later. But we should acknowledge their great performance because it is not only the batting which is responsible for winning a match but it is the bowling too. So why don’t we have a bowler as a Vice captain rather than having batsmen as captain and vice captain it would be great for a team wouldn’t it be. I Hope that this will become a reality as soon as possible. In the game of cricket it has always been customary to accord more adulation to batsman than to bowlers.
