ONE MORE CRICKET CONTROVERSY: Two senior umpires have issued a legal notice to the Baroda Cricket Association, demanding damages for not assigning them work as umpires for the last several years.

The legal notice sent by advocate Mahesh Chauhan further states that the two umpires, Vivek Dongre and Suhas Laxman, have been doing their duties for the last 22 years. They also cleared the requisite exams to continue their duties as umpires.
Chauhan said: “Despite this, their names were not sent to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for national-level examination. My clients contested the elections, and to take revenge, the board is harassing them by stopping their assignments.”
The umpires have also demanded Rs 5 lakh each towards mental agony and damages. The Baroda Cricket Association has been asked to reply to the notice within 15 days.
