India were on a high in ICL World Series after defeating Pakistan but, they were uprooted by Bangladesh with the help of Nafeez in the 3rd Match of ICL world Series by chasing down the target of 164 runs in 19.3 overs with 5 wickets to spare.
Bashar’s decision to chase the target was not getting support from his warriors as the first wicket fell in the 1st over itself at a score of 2 runs. Nazimuddin was the prey and Jesuraj showed him the way back. Nafeez then came to accompany Aftab and their partnership made a well built 52 runs to make the score look comfortable at 54 in the 8th over when the 2nd wicket in the form of Aftab fell for 26 runs off 18 balls. Bangladesh needed 9 runs per over in the last 10 overs to pocket the match and their whole expectation was the batting specialists Kapali and Nafeez. Kapali was hitting like lightening and Cricket360 thought of finding another cracking fifty from him at that stage. But Jesuraj poured water on their flame of hope by taking him fabulously off Reddy in the 14th over for 44 runs. His spectacular knock included propelling shots, 4 times over the heads and twice through the grounds. At the end of the 3rd quarter Bangladesh score was 121/3 needing around 9 runs per over. Earlier after being put to bat first India were struggling to face the bowling of Bangladesh and were looking sympathetic by Cricket360.com at 17/1 in the 4th over. The 2nd wicket partnership was looking good by adding 43 runs but was broke by Kapali in the 8th over and Khaleel was the man to depart for 27 runs. After the first half India were not in a strong position as the score was only 68 runs for 2 wickets. Mashrafe Hussain made the difference for Bangla side by scalping 3 wickets and India kept on giving away wickets within every 3 overs. Rayudu and Binny tried to repair the situation but they lacked the knack to stick on and all of them departed before the 15th over for 107 runs leaving Satish, the skipper in the crease. Satish played a plundering innings and hit 4 sixes and 2 fours en route his 44 runs off 20 balls to built a moderate total of 164 runs at the end of 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets without which, Cricket360 thinks, the match would have been one sided.
