Cricket360.com has been reliably informed of the cricket news that former Australian pace bowler will be in Chennai from the 2nd to the 11th of February to train young aspirants for international cricket at the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai. Being one of the founding members of the MRF pace academy, the former Aussie pacer has been associated with the institution since its inception a couple of decades ago.

For the duration of his stay he will be imparting training and giving the benefit of his experience and talent to a variety of youngsters, about 50 in number M Senthilnathan, chief coach of the academy was quoted as having said.  There will be young cricketers at the camp as well as about 11 fast bowlers selected to be sent by the ECB (English and Wales Cricket Board). Four of those English bowlers belong to the Kent County Cricket club as well. The Kent Bowlers scheduled as being part of the coaching camp are Matt Coles, Adam Ball, Warren Lee, Phil Edwards.

Dennis Lillee was in his time a formidably fast and tremendously effective bowler of international cricket. When he retired he was the highest test wicket taker at the time, with 355 test wickets to his name. Talented and feisty, he was one of the most memorable characters of international cricket and has over the years been in the cricket news for good reasons as well as some very controversial ones.

MRF Pace Foundation is a coaching camp for training fast bowlers from all over the world. As one of the persons responsible for having set up the foundation, Dennis Lillee has always been closely involved in its coaching programmes. Through these programmes, young aspiring fast bowlers are trained. This is a world-class facility located at Madras Christian College School, Chetpet, Chennai. Fast bowlers who trained with the MRF Pace Foundation that went on to represent India include Javagal Srinath, Irfan Pathan, Munaf Patel, Venkatesh Prasad, RP Singh, Zaheer Khan and Shanthakumaran Sreesanth, reports Cricket360.
