Bizarre Runout |
| Bizarre runout involving Runako Morton and Shivnaraine Chanderpaul in the West Indian First innings of the 3rd Test of New Zealand vs West Indies Test series 2006. Morton hits the ball to mid-on where Daniel Vettori fields and tumbles. Sensing a run Morton runs to the non striker end. Non striker Shivnaraine Chanderpaul initially takes a few steps and then goes back to the non striker end. Morton believes he is out and is furious at his captain and starts to walk off. However the Third Umpire views the footage and judges that Morton grounded his bat at the non striker end before Chanderpaul and hence he is safe. Chanderpaul makes the long walk off the field. |
