A team which promised a lot but could not come together on right time in Season 1 was Delhi Daredevils. The most dangerous ODI and T20 batsmen – Virender Sehwag leading a team with the likes of McGrath, Asif, Gambhir, Nehra, De Villiers, Vettori, Shoaib and many more can be the potential champions of Season 2. The only disadvantage Daredevils has is the lack of a specialist middle order batsmen in this Season, also Shikhar Dhawan has been swapped with Mumbai Indians for Ashish Nehra.
In form Gambhir and the blazing Sehwag can win it for Daredevils and nobody has doubts over it but Gambhir coming to T20 from Test Series and Sehwag’s out of control batting pace can cause the troubles too. So it will be interesting how the batting department performs as bowling looks disciplined enough with likes of McGrath and Vettori. |
