Samaraveera could find his consecutive double ton in the tour and Dilshan also went beyond century to pile up a mammoth score of 606 in the first innings which was bent to a halt by Gul (6/135). The last day of the match was interesting and full of excitement. Pakistan had huge expectations for Younis Khan to get past Brian Lara’s record of 400 not out. This didn’t happen as Fernando cleaned up Younis Khan earlier in the day and dismissed him for 313 runs. Pakistan was disappointed at this but Younis Khan received praises all around the ground.
